Properties

Some minerals are necessary in significant quantities for the formation of the skeleton or eggshell.

The assimilation of calcium and phosphorus is regulated by vitamin D3, which corrects any potential imbalances between these two minerals and prevents a fixation defect leading to soft and deformed bones.

Calcium ions perform multiple other functions, at the muscular, nervous, and blood levels…

Mineral administration is particularly important in squab where a massive supply of skeletal constituents helps to overcome any temporary lack of assimilation caused by diarrhea that may be of parasitic origin (trichomoniasis, coccidiosis, intestinal worms).

These diarrhea episodes disrupt, for a few days, the regular supply of what is normally drawn from the diet because the accelerated intestinal transit no longer allows the usual nutritional exchanges at the level of the intestinal villi.

MOUREAU Fortifying Pill provides this supply of minerals that regulate and facilitate the growth of squabs from their embryonic stage.

Calcium and phosphorus are provided in the form of glycerophosphate, a perfectly assimilable combination, unlike bi or tricalcium carbonate, which is still too often proposed.

The presence of vitamin D3 facilitates the passage of calcium through the intestinal wall and accelerates its incorporation into the bone structure, making long bones stronger.

The powders of gentian, ginger, and anise stimulate appetite and thus allow for a natural intake of food while facilitating pigeon digestion.

Trace elements are minerals needed in very small quantities that are involved in numerous vital phenomena by their presence in enzymes and whose deficiency can cause various and serious disorders.

Iron, magnesium, manganese present in the MOUREAU Fortifying Pill, are among the most important trace elements: therefore, its use should not be limited to the growth of young birds only but should be extended to breeders before mating or to tired subjects during the sports season.
